As a Maintenance Helper, you'll provide foundational support to our experienced maintenance staff, assisting with various tasks to maintain our business environment.
Responsibilities include performing routine checks, addressing minor repairs, and aiding in project completion. Your efforts contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming space, minimizing downtime, and extending the lifespan of our assets.
Maintenance Helper Duties: Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.Support skilled tradespeople in complex repair tasks, providing tools and hands-on assistance.Participate in building inspections to identify repair needs and safety hazards.Facilitate event setup and breakdown by arranging furniture and equipment.Execute minor building repairs such as patching walls and fixing door handles.Maintain outdoor areas through landscaping and snow removal.Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.Perform emergency custodial duties as needed. Education: High school diploma required; additional technical education preferred.Relevant coursework in mechanical repairs, electrical systems, and general maintenance.Some may pursue majors or specializations in facilities maintenance or industrial technology. Experience: Hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.Previous work assisting skilled maintenance technicians is beneficial.On-the-job training provided.
