Maintenance Manager

Our client, a dynamic player in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in maintenance management within a food manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on team leadership and operational excellence.

Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring efficient operations and minimal machine downtime. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to uphold equipment reliability. Oversee the interviewing and selection process for maintenance personnel, fostering a strong team environment. Plan and coordinate plant capital projects while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and food safety regulations. Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff, promoting continuous improvement and skill development. Ensure professional communication within the organization and across departments to align maintenance goals with overall operational objectives. Skill ** A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, with at least 4 years in a management position in a food manufacturing environment. Bachelors degree in Industrial Mechanics or a related field, or relevant technical certifications. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple projects effectively. Experience in food safety practices, including SQF auditing and compliance.
