Maintenance Mechanic - Container Repair

Responsibilities:  Conducts routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassisRepairs equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelinesDocuments repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writingRepairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and frameworkPerforms light welding when required Qualifications:  Minimum of 1-year verifiable mechanic experience in ANY industryMinimum of 1-year verifiable experience working on 50lbs commercial tires.Minimum of 1-year verifiable experience working Automotive Electrical wiringAbility to lift more than 50lbsOpen availability (Nights, Weekends, & Holidays)Willingness to work in varying weather conditionsMust have basic set of hand toolsMust pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screeningThe Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited.
