Maintenance Person

Job Summary:The Maintenance Person at La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Seattle Sea-Tac Airport is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the hotel's facilities and equipment. As a key member of our team, the Maintenance Person will work closely with other departments to ensure that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at our hotel. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Seattle, Washington.Compensation & Benefits:The compensation for this role is $19 to $21 per hour, paid semimonthly. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within our company.Responsibilities:Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areasConduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to identify and address maintenance issuesPerform repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, and repairing furniture and equipmentAssist with the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel's landscaping and outdoor areasMaintain and organize inventory of supplies and equipmentRespond promptly and effectively to guest requests and concernsFollow all safety procedures and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and utilizedReport any maintenance or safety issues to the management teamCommunicate and work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and a seamless guest experienceRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality or customer service environmentKnowledge of basic maintenance procedures and techniquesAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organizationExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbingFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidaysValid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from workAble to pass a background check and drug screeningEEOC Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
