We are currently looking for a Full-time Maintenance Technician 2! This position is responsible for performing skilled tasks to include installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of the facility. These duties include the mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, as well as landscape, and grounds owned by Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge.
The pay range for this position is $21.24 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.
\n ResponsibilitiesInstall, operate, repair, and maintain all facility systems (including cottages) relating to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, electronic and construction.Diagnose and correct mechanical equipment malfunctions using technical manuals and blueprints as reference. Work in conjunction with vendors under contract for major repairs and maintenance.  Diagnose and repair residential appliances by using provided diagnostic tool/software. Perform swimming pool water chemistry testing.Install, operate, repair and maintain all facility systems relating to mechanical, electrical, electronic and construction.Diagnose and correct basic mechanical equipment malfunctions.Perform routine tests and inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems and maintain service and repair records.Follow the schedule of preventative maintenance as assigned by supervisors.Act as the first respondent when the fire alarms systems activate. QualificationsStrong time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.On-Call rotation with other Plant Ops associates.Ability to safely exercise, evaluate, and maintain residential generators.Ability to diagnose and repair residential appliances by using GE diagnostic tool.Strong knowledge and ability to work on swimming pool water chemistry. Must maintain a CPO Certification. RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 5years of combined experience working as a maintenance mechanic or a related field of study. CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) certified. Certification needs to be obtained within the first year of employment.CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certified.
