Maintenance Technician, Hayward, WI Arclin Surfaces is seeking talent for a Maintenance Technician Job open with our Hayward WI location. Reporting into the Plant Engineer, this role is responsible for the repair and ongoing maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment.
This includes performing regular inspections to ensure that the machinery and equipment is operating to design specifications and that down time is minimal so plant production schedules are not adversely impacted.This role is responsible for troubleshooting problems and issues and for finding and implementing cost effective resolutions.
Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities: Perform Preventative Maintenance checks on all plant equipment per intervals established by Arclin procedures and guidelines Perform cutting and welding as deemed necessary to build, replace, or repair plant equipment, valves, pumps, lines and other plant equipment Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with guidelines and safety rules set forth in the Arclin Special Work Permit, Confined Space permit, Arclin Operational Procedures, and PSM with special emphasis on Management of Change Work with fellow Maintenance employees to ensure proper disposal of all waste including used oil that is generated by department Identify any environmental impacts of maintenance operations and suggest corrective action Advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Plant Engineer of spare parts usage so that adequate spare parts inventories can be monitored and maintained Maintenance Technician Job Requirements: Trade School or Technical College Graduate; HS diploma required Five (5) years industry experience handling both reactive & preventative maintenance Knowledge of mechanical equipment repair (pumps, valves, drives, etc.)
Ability to work from blueprints to weld TIG, MIG, and Gas Arc applications Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
