Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team.
This role involves a variety of tasks, including responding to requests, setting up and maintaining equipment, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the building and grounds.
This is a 1+ year contract, starting ASAP.
It is onsite in Parsippany, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to various requests from usersSet up and take down audiovisual and furniture for meetings and eventsMaintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the building and groundsAssist with repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, MHE, warewash, and general facility equipmentUtilize power tools and testing equipment effectivelyMaintain a safe work environment, adhering to safety procedures and reporting any safety hazardsAssist with HVAC and related equipment repairs and preventive maintenanceMaintain parts inventory and order required materials as neededTest and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standards Qualifications:
High school graduate with technical/vocational training in related fields8 to 10 years of experience in related fieldsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and ProjectsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralSelf-motivated and customer service orientedAbility to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of PLC and ability to use electronic testing equipment, hand and power toolsAbility to read blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manualsLeadership skills to foster a team atmosphereExperience with various types of lifts: Skyjack lift, material-handling equipment such as forklift and hand pallet truckKnowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
