Global Life Science Hub is in collaboration with an innovative biopharmaceutical company leading advancements in cutting-edge drug delivery technologies. Following two recent FDA approvals, they are gearing up for substantial growth. By 2025, they will launch new internal manufacturing facilities that will triple their production capacity as they seek their 3rd approval.
To support their next phase of growth, we are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing key process and utility equipment, including bioreactors, centrifuges, HVAC systems, and more.
Responsibilities: Performs other functions as required or assigned.Complies with all company policies and standards.Good knowledge of process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, purification processing skids, purification columns, glasswashers, and autoclaves.Good knowledge of utility and facility equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, chiller, cooling tower, pumps & drives, RODI, WFI, and hot water systems.Experience performing mechanical maintenance activities such as valve rebuilds (diaphragm, ball valves, gate valves, proportional control valves), pump rebuild including seals (positive displacement, air pumps, peristaltic, and centrifugal pumps), agitator maintenance including seal replacements, motor pump replacement/alignment, and heat exchanger repairs. Partial knowledge of all aspects of mechanical maintenance required for these systems.Capable of performing work in the mechanical, pipefitting, or plumbing trades.Detail oriented and able to complete any required documentation.Experience/Qualifications: Technical Certificate in Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Refrigeration, or Instrumentation or related experience.Associate or bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Refrigeration, or Instrumentation preferred.3-5+ years in plant or equipment maintenance, with experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.Good knowledge of cGMP regulations.Ability to use basic hand tools.Must be able to read, write and utilize drawings, mathematics, and formulas.Ability to read mechanical schematics and piping diagrams (P&ID's).Must be able to work in a clean room environment.Candidate must possess basic computer skills.Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear manner.
