POSITION SUMMARY: Would you like the chance to use your skills to help reposition a hotel through your creative problem-solving and quality workmanship? 
If so, this exciting new role as Maintenance Technician has your name on it. 
You'll be the go-to expert for addressing maintenance related guest concerns, from broken amenities to landscaping and general maintenance tasks. Your diligence will ensure swift responses to maintenance requests, ensuring our hotel complies with stringent maintenance regulations.

A Day in the Life:  Your typical day on our maintenance team will involve scheduling repairs, overseeing small projects, tackling carpentry repairs, and handling everything from changing shower valves to repairing HVAC systems. You'll also troubleshoot and fix pool pumps, refrigerators and even assemble furniture. RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond promptly and professionally to service requests during guest stays. Additionally, address guest-use-related issues in rooms, such as furniture, drywall, painting, fixtures, etc.  Conduct thorough and timely property inspections, including routine monthly and departure inspections.  Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment units and structures. Install and maintain ventilation and refrigeration systems.  Undertake light landscaping and groundskeeping tasks as required. Inspect and oversee the work of contract vendors on larger maintenance projects.  Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of pools through proper chemical balancing, skimming, and sweeping, and repair pool equipment, including pumps, valves, and filters.  QUALIFICATIONS: Highschool diploma or equivalent Maintenance experience is required, with hospitality experience preferred. Effective verbal communication skills.  Basic skills in computer operating systems.  Practical time management skills, resulting in work assignments and projects completed within designated time frames.  Able to be included in the company's vehicle insurance policy and the capability to operate company vehicles for projects is preferred  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Able to stand, sit, and walk for the majority of the day  Able to apply physical skills, including bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding, and carrying.  Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 40 - 50 pounds  Able to climb stairs, sometimes multiple times per day  COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Hourly Wage: $18 - $22 based on experience and achievement
