Maintenance Technician Whiteland IN A poignant time to join a leading worldwide business in automated machinery! Having recently expanded into the American market, they are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join them at their recently upgraded and highly automated distribution center. You will play a key role in ensuring the site is running at optimum efficiency through meeting targets with ongoing planned and reactive maintenance as well as continuous improvement/project work. We currently have 2nd or 3rd shift and Panama shift patterns available Benefits: 3-week PTO allowance 401k matching (Up to 5%) Medical, dental and life insurance Profit share scheme Resident Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Completion of allocated planned maintenance activities across site – both electrical and mechanical. Respond to machine and equipment breakdowns. Working on conveyor systems, storage retrieval systems, materials handling equipment, sortation equipment with associated electrical controls and any hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Mechanically, you will have responsibility for reading and interpreting assembly drawings, hydraulic & pneumatic work, working across chains, belts and gearboxes. Strip, overhaul and rebuild of machinery. Electrically, fault finding on PLC systems – predominantly Siemens, sensors, inverters, drives, motors, control panels and associated control systems. Involvement in the ongoing asset care of machinery. Supporting the site in continuous improvement exercises to look at improvement efficiency and processes. Experience & requirements for the role: Previous experience in a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician/Technician role. Worked on PLC systems, sensors, motors, inverters, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes previously. Experience in performing planned maintenance, responding to mechanical breakdowns and involvement with continuous improvement work. Worked on automated machinery before such as conveyors.
