Responsibilities Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities Maintain control and motor systems Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed Support & comply with safety & environmental guidelines Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers Support & comply with safety & environmental guidelines Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations Research and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacement Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM's and PM's are properly performed and documented in Avante Qualifications Basic math skills Good English language skills Welding skills Good communication skills Strong mechanical knowledge Strong electrical knowledge Basic understaning of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience MS Office literate No fear of heights Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment Prior process machinery trouble shooting Benefits of working as a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Sparks, NV:
