Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Lead Mammography Technologist, is responsible for overseeing staff, training staff, managing workflow, maintaining the technologist schedule and schedule maintenance of all Mammography related equipment as needed.
In addition, under the general direction of the Radiologist; is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams at a technical level and will produce high quality images.
May be assigned to other duties (i.e.
performing stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations or performing DEXA bone density studies etc.).
They should also assist with ensuring that the department is in order with MQSA and FDA requirements and assists with DOH inspections.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of A.M.A.
approved Radiological Technology program.
Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• 2-5 years experience as Radiological Technologist.
• 2-3 years experience in mammography, with experience in M.Q.S.A.
regulatory guidelines.
License/Certifications
• Current N.Y.S.
License in Radiological Technology.
• A.R.R.T.
certification in mammography required (RTRM).
