About the Role
The
Sales Consultant-Advisory Channel
is
a role within the Managed Account Strategies team. The position will be responsible for the suite of retail strategies including Mutual Funds, ETFs and SMAs and be a key liaison to the Wealth Management space. Primary functions of the
Sales Consultant-Advisory Channel
are servicing existing clients, identifying sales opportunities of other Loomis strategies and representing the Loomis brand. The candidate will be asked to travel and build relationships on their own as well as with their Natixis sales counterparts on the East Coast. Presence at conferences, industry events, and speaking opportunities to promote the Loomis Sayles investment lineup is an expectation. In addition to sales pull through efforts, client service is paramount. The
Sales Consultant-Advisory Channel
will serve as a primary contact for RIAs/FAs looking to connect with a Loomis product team or questions on their portfolio. The candidate must be a self-motivated, solutions-oriented team player with a sense of ownership and accountability for the retail business at Loomis Sayles. The role requires strong communication skills as well as investment knowledge. This position does require travel which can be moderate to heavy at times.
Job Responsibilities
Capacity to speak to Loomis Sayles' history, organizational structure, and meaningful firm updates. Ability to speak to relevant product teams and key product and strategy messaging
Serve as the primary Loomis contact for SMA accounts for servicing and account level questions. Track and contact Loomis SMA clients across all investment strategies
Facilitate all RIA and FA requests for product updates on mutual fund business and develop existing RIA client list
Provide feedback on advisor trends, concerns and themes to share with marketing and client service
Attend client meetings/conference calls as needed
Proactively develop working relationship with Natixis counterparts for meetings, strategy and client service as well as participate in Natixis business planning sessions
Investment Knowledge
Keep up to date on all Loomis macro views, risk tools, blog listings, and market trends
Versed in the equity markets and being able to represent a strong level of understanding of the firm's equity portfolio offerings regarding investment process, attribution and performance history
Versed in the fixed income markets to be able to relate how changing markets could affect our line up of fixed income portfolios as well as the differences among the suite of offerings
Understanding of competitive landscape regarding peers, pricing and platform placement
Business Management
Set activity and business goals with quarterly reporting on client development
Participate in all training for personal and professional development
Appropriate use of Loomis' offices, entertainment opportunities and leveraging available product teams
Qualifications & Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience in the investment industry with at least 2 years' experience working with financial advisors with face to face meetings
CFA, CAIA or a degree in Asset Management preferred, not required
FINRA Series 7 and NFA Series 3required
Client service experience with acute attention to detail
Ability to speak in public settings and articulate a firms' value proposition
A powerful work ethic, self-starter, curiosity, client-first focus
A great teammate— work collaboratively with your peers in a tightknit group, displaying an interest and ability to assist when needed– we cover each other all the time
Familiarity with fixed income and equity securities and compliance procedures
Exceptional communication skills- both verbal and written
Ability to work and travel independently and be a team player
Proactive attitude and ready to share constructive feedback

This position's location is flexible:
Preference in Boston, MA area or other east coast location considered
