This position is located within NIC's Academy Division. Under the Direction of the division chief, this position provides analysis services and data collection regarding all initiatives of the job training and placement programs.
Develops and pilots criteria for obtaining feedback and converting data to information for consideration by the administration in continuous quality improvement efforts.
Conducts continuous evaluation and analysis of Offender Workforce Development Specialist national and partnership training with emphasis on the interrelationships of the program and criminal justice as a whole.
Uses statistical software to analyze data and prepares concise research reports that communicate the essential findings and unambiguously addresses the questions raised by NIC's Executive Staff.
Participates in other NIC committees and review boards responsible for evaluating existing and proposed programs, agency initiatives, planning and coordination efforts, and review/evaluation of reports.
Coordinates and collaborates, as appropriate, with the chairs of local colleges and universities engaged in conducting research as part of NIC cooperative agreements.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Education: GS-12 and GS-13: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for these grade levels. Experience: GS-12 and GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: GS-12:
Experience in utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze, evaluate, and/or improve the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management.
Experience in developing new or modifying work methods or management processes for administrative program services, guides and procedures.
Experience in recommending administrative actions/solutions to problems.
Experience in conducting studies to resolve issues affecting administrative management. GS-13:
Experience in utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and/or improve organizational objectives.
Experience in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve organizational productivity and effectiveness.
Experience in presenting findings, recommendations, business and/or analysis data to management/program officials.
Experience in implementing management practices to improve efficiency of staffing/organizational structures, methods and/or procedures.

The representative rate for this position is $113,751 per annum ($54.50 per hour). Special Conditions of Employment Section:
