DescriptionSummary Buckle is searching for the next leaders in retail and sales. As a Management Trainee, you will work directly with your Store Manager to develop sales, recruiting, and developing leadership skills that will propel you to become an excellent Store Manager. The Management Trainee will also share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence. With this responsibility, you will grow yourself professionally and personally. Management Trainees perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management.
Compensation Pay Range: $17.00 to $22.00. Buckle pays a base rate plus commission on your sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This description intends to describe the general nature and level of work performed by Teammates assigned to this job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Sales Generation and Guest ServiceGreet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude.Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs.Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items.Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education.Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions.Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals.Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily.Maintain and build good Guest relationships.Model, encourage and demonstrate leadership in customer service.Teammate Recruiting, Training and DevelopmentAssist in leading, directing, and motivating new Teammates.Motivate Teammates to initiate and complete daily tasks.Support Store Manager by setting up all interviews.Develop skills and educate Teammates to implement visual displays.OperationsAbility to work a flexible schedule.Set goals and expectations to complete the Management Trainee Program.Accurately complete store opening and closing procedures.Implement Buckle developments with the direction of the Store Manager.Complete register balance and bank deposits accurately.Supervisory and LeadershipSupport Store Manager by planning and leading the Team.Prepare to be a Store Manager by collaboratively supervising Teammates.Act as the Store Manager in their absence.Benefits Available (after applicable waiting period): Paid VacationPaid Sick TimeHealthVision401(k)Employee Assistance ProgramLife & Disability InsuranceFSA & Dependent CareAdditional Supplemental InsuranceEducation and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study preferred; or one to three months related retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
