We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a scrum team of experienced software engineers working on our Marketing Technology Platform. In this role, you will oversee the team's technical direction, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive the implementation of scalable solutions that integrate various MarTech, Intuit, and vendor technologies to solve business needs.
Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Mountain View, CA office two or more days per week.
ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performanceCollaborate with Product Managers to define technology strategy and architecture for key marketing capabilitiesOversee the evaluation of vendors and make build vs. buy decisions in partnership with Product ManagersDrive the team towards adopting best practices in software development, testing, and deploymentManage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality product releasesFacilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to drive organizational goalsCultivate a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the teamParticipate in hiring and retention efforts to build and maintain a strong engineering teamProvide regular performance feedback and career development guidance to team membersRepresent the engineering team in leadership meetings and contribute to broader organizational strategies At a Minimum We'd Like You To Have: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management roleStrong technical background with hands-on experience in building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systemsProven track record of successfully leading and growing engineering teamsExperience in setting technical vision and strategy aligned with business goalsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsIt's Preferred If You Have One Or More Of: Experience driving collaboration across organizational boundaries, building multi-dimensional relationships, and importing and exporting ideas to achieve broad organizational goalsKnowledge of AI and ML, with a strategic and innovative mindset to enable AI and GenAI into platform capabilitiesPrior experience with Marketing technologiesExperience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practicesTrack record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
