**Job Description:**
This position provides leadership of Clinical Engineering operations for facilities within the assigned area. Assist the CE Director with the development and execution of in-house Clinical Engineering strategies, a comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair program, budget processes, and medical equipment reporting process. This position provides input on the distribution of resources (staffing, budgets, and outside vendor services) of the Medical Equipment Management Program. Is an active participant in support activities related to problem diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance of medical equipment. Contributes to the development, implementation, and completion of annual goals and objectives supporting medical equipment service support needs of the assigned area.
**Scope**
+ Manages the on-going maintenance and management of designated medical equipment. Works closely with original equipment manufacturers and other service .. . . . providers to ensure satisfactory performance of equipment.
+ Acts as a liaison between the vendors and internal customers. Ensures program is compliant with all regulatory and accreditation agency requirements and internal policies and procedures.
+ Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and follow through.
+ Collaborates with peers from other care sites and the System Director to develop and implement lifecycle management processes, major equipment replacement plans, and program improvement initiatives.
+ Develops and manages operational and capital budgets for Clinical Engineering.
+ Works to reduce both capital and operating costs through implementation of effective and efficient systems and processes.
+ Manages personnel including timecards, scheduling, appraisals, coaching and mentoring, discipline, and performance improvement initiatives as needed. Ensures associates are properly trained and competent to perform assigned tasks.
+ Manages daily operations to established KPIs Assists Supply Chain with service contract management and the self- insurance program. Maintains and manages assigned segment of the CMMS database within the scope of the system program.
+ Represents Clinical Engineering and participates in leadership, committee, task force, and other meetings within the care site and/or system as applicable.
+ Manages projects related to medical equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, etc.
+ Assists with other equipment related initiatives such as patient alarm management.

+ (If applicable) May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Associates Degree in Biomedical Electronics or related field
+ 5 years in a healthcare environment
**Preferred**
+ Bachelors degree
+ CBET, CRES, and/or CLES certification
+ Experience in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Technology and equipment 2 or more years in a lead or supervisory management role

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$39.15 - $71.80
