Job SummaryAs a Distribution Systems Manager, you will manage and direct the work activities and work flow of Distribution Center support staff to ensure all processes result in an efficient, organized and safe warehouse. You will also manage the movement of products through distribution center operations to ensure they meet or exceed customer and Distribution Center requirements. Experience Desired: Bachelors degree - Course of Study: Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business ManagementEducation Desired: Bachelors DegreeTravel Required: Regional - Daily, Less than 10%Job ResponsibilitiesDocument and report any type of system issues to appropriate management in a timely manner. Maintain working knowledge of all warehouse management related interfacing systems, including, but not limited to, voice activated selection system, store order system (BICEPS), inventory case count system (DCOPS), radio frequency (RF) equipment and accounts payable to understand the overall effects of changes, fixes and enhancements. Maintain understanding of industry trends, standards and new technologies to evaluate opportunities for achieving maximum usage of the warehouse management system. Develop and implement slotting strategies to ensure optimum utilization of space in order to meet distribution center requirements and operational goals and objectives. Act as a liaison with Corporate Distribution Systems department, while proactively working toward automating and refining processes to meet or exceed the customer's requirements. Direct the entire cycle count program to ensure accuracy of physical inventory in order to meet customer needs. Monitor inventory audits and reports to reconcile discrepancies regarding the accuracy of the warehouse management system, physical inventories and pallet information. Maintain tracking and reporting systems to provide accurate data analysis and accountability for departmental forecasting, strategies and production activities. Develop and implement appropriate training processes and materials to ensure Team Members receive accurate and complete instruction in procedures and techniques for performing their job responsibilities. Develop and maintain effective communication processes between departments and shifts to support efficient production activities and ensure appropriate information is shared. Oversee the receiving operation to ensure timely unloading and receipt of products. Maintain all system administration, including system access requests and security levels, for the warehouse management system. Perform special projects as assigned.
