Discover your exciting roleThe Manager Estimating is responsible for the management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of conceptual and detailed estimates for various complex projects. Directs the quantitative development of material, labor, and subcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination of information among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and project teams.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesSupervises and assures the quality and timeliness of all estimating and bidding activitiesAssists and/or leads proposal preparation, presentation, and securing new workDevelops the estimate plan and coordinates estimate development with the project teamPrepares Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunction with the project teamLeads the development of the total project estimate; detailed and/or conceptualPrepares the total Project Basis of EstimatePrepares the Estimate Risk Analysis and makes cost contingency recommendationsAnalyzes and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesSupports preparation and presentation of Project Estimates to Executive and Client management teamsOther duties as assignedShow your expertiseHigh School Diploma or GED required10+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry7+ years of competitive bid experience preferredExperience in commercial estimatingExperience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning (EPCC) projects is requiredExperience in Commercial building, Clean Room and Tool Install construction desiredExperience with the following software applications preferred: Trimble GCEstimator (WinEst, Modelogix, Vico) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc)Ability to prepare conceptual cost model estimates from limited information using local historic cost informationUnderstands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawingsAbility to effectively perform material take-offsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExceptional organization and coordination skillsAbility to travel to support both project and corporate needs
