\n In this role you will have the opportunity to:Develop and maintain annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts, including streamlining the budgeting process Work closely with the business units and Finance teams to develop monthly, quarterly and annual expense forecastsWork with the People Ops team to develop and track payroll expenses and related metricsPerform variance analysis on actuals to forecast and provide actionable insights to the business based on variance analysisAssist financial reporting team during month end close for accuracy and completeness of informationPrepare external board materials and other deliverablesProvide assistance on ad-hoc projects We're looking for someone who has:6-8 years of experience in a financial role (FP&A experience required)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail; has very strong excel (or google sheets) and powerpoint (or google slides) skills (hands-on experience with Adaptive Insights is an asset)Ability to establish, track, and evaluate performance metricsHands-on experience with pulling & analyzing complex data; strong financial modeling skillsAbility to thrive in a fast growing dynamic environment A passion for solving challenging and impactful problems; getting into the weeds by understanding the how and why of business processesA curious nature; if something seems off, take immediate actions to figure out what's going onExcellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with various team members; possess the confidence and tact required to express views to both senior stakeholders and peersStrong communication skills including effective writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way; the ability to accurately tell the story behind the numbers in a compelling mannerConfidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions and looks for continuous improvementHas new ideas to bring to Wealthsimple and acts without being told what to doHonesty/integrity - Doesn't cut corners; does what is right
