You'll learn more about this during the recruitment process.JOB SUMMARY:The Manager, Global Strategic Planning plays a key role in helping lead Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) Marketing & Sales (M&S) division in the creation and ongoing performance measurement of its annual and long-term strategic plans and budgets alongside the Sr. Director of Global Strategic Planning. Position requires strong project management, communication, teaming, cross-functional collaboration, strategic-thinking, and analytics skills.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:STRATEGIC PLANNINGSupport Sr. Director, Global Strategic Planning in all aspects of Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) Marketing & Sales (M&S) Planning and Budgeting processProject-manage the strategic planning process, including work-planning, timelines, deliverable creation and managementCoordinate meetings with senior M&S leaders throughout planning process (scheduling, attending, management, notes, actions, and follow-up)Collaborate with other M&S, Finance, and UDX leaders and teams globally to ensure development of cohesive global plan aligned with budget.Work with director to continuously improve strategic planning process based on evolving UDX and M&S needs and best practices.Develop and deliver presentations to senior executives; must possess executive presence when communicatingPERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTIdentify, coordinate, streamline, and consolidate global performance measurement of strategic plan, including liaising with business owners and analytics resources to track performance against key KPIs as designated in the strategic planning process and other business discussions.Track implementation of key strategic priorities and summarize progress, ensuring quality control of metrics, and identifying and communicating performance issues as needed. Manage Global M&S Scorecard, KPI gathering, analysis, and messaging, and other tools used to track performance.Conduct additional analysis on strategic KPIs, including additional analyses using other strategy work (e.g., building off demand models, connecting financials to strategic analysis).Provide coaching to teams on performance measurement best practices, target-setting, SMART goals, and other related topics.ADDITIONAL STRATEGY-RELATED TOPICSSupport planning of strategy-related meetings, including but not limited to the Annual Global Strategy Kick-off, Global Strategy discussions, Annual M&S Situation Assessment, Innovation events, and strategy workshops with other leaders.Support projects related to the emerging Innovation Initiative.Develop strategy-related content for Town Halls, Executive Meetings, and other UDX events.Support ad hoc projects related to UDX's emerging corporate strategy and ensure alignment with M&S initiatives.Coordinate leaders in providing content for executive strategy check-ins.Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree required – Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Political Science, Business Communications, or related field.EXPERIENCE:5+ years of Strategic Planning, Project Management, Corporate Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis, Consulting, Industrial Engineering or related experience.Project managementStrategic planningCorporate strategy developmentPresentations and discussions with Senior LeadershipBusiness case developmentStorytelling and visualization of assessmentsTakes initiative, self-starter tendenciesCross-functional communication, consensus-building, team-oriented, diplomacy, conflict managementPersuasive communication abilities, executive presenceStrong written and oral communicationWillingness to adaptor equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience/Knowledge in the following areas preferred/beneficial:Travel & Resort Industry, Entertainment &/or Theme Park experienceFinancial pro forma, forecasting, and business case developmentCompetitive and market analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.Your talent, skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.Universal Orlando Resort.Here you can.Universal Orlando is an equal opportunity employer.
