The Service Manager is responsible for helping lead and manage the restaurant during service, and ensuring the guest-first experience Ballyhoo and Pomeroy are known for. This position serves as a leader, educator, coach, and mentor to the Pomeroy front of house team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Oversee Dining Room, Bar, Take Out and Private Dining operations Manage training and development of front of house team Assist in interviewing, hiring, disciplining, scheduling Develop relationships with guests Actively participate in service Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure Assist the host stand before and during service by seating tables, answering telephone calls in a courteous manner, and managing reservation book to maximize covers for every shift including driving the oyster bar and bar seats Assist the kitchen with food running, menu descriptions, preshift tastings and participate in 3:00 FOH/BOH meeting Assist with menu updates and special/custom menus Take and input togo orders as needed Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests. Nightly Report completion including contributing notes daily. Responsible for helping to achieve targeted sales goals Ensure that employees comply with health and food safety standards Address complaints regarding food quality, beverage or service Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
