JOB SUMMARY:
Protection of Universal Orlando Resort's assets and properties by the prevention and recovery of company assets through the management of all operational activities of the Investigations department including education and awareness.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides senior level management oversight for all operations of the Investigations team to include hiring, training, coaching and discipline of all Investigators, Loss Prevention Officers, Secret Shoppers, and Ticket Specialists.
Publishes reports and summaries; conducts and attends meetings or briefings that present initiatives, trends or results on all departmental activities designed to detect, deter, respond to and recover company assets and reported loss.
Reviews investigative theft and policy violation cases and assists with preparation of prosecution; conducts interview training, and assists in undercover surveillance; plans, coordinates and schedules special operational VIP or dignitary protection details.
Manages the partnership with third party civil recovery companies to ensure the successful recovery of restitution owed the company due to theft. Oversees operational budgets, coordinates financial reporting and the acquisition of technical resources and equipment.
Liaison between local, State and Federal Law enforcement agencies as well as all competitive private security departments, collects and assesses any relevant intelligence that may affect UP operations or assets. Represents UP at meeting of industry counterparts and professional security associations.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field of study is required.
EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years investigative or security industry with 3-5 years of management required.
Theme Park or retail industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Wicklander & Zulawski interview/interrogation certification preferred.
