ResponsibilitiesLead the engagement team to perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagementsStrengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution, and strategic approach to service deliveryIdentifying and communicating (i) critical deal issues, (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structureChallenging assumptions related to future financial projectionsIdentifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flowsInteracting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the clientReviewing and preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findingsAssisting with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheet of purchase price allocations, and (ii) closing working capital calculations.Ensure work is delivered timely and in accordance with firm standardsSupervise, coach, and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conductUtilizing Excel to create FDD data pack end-to-end – advanced formulas, index match, power query, etc.Desired Skills & ExperienceGPA of 3.5 or betterRated top 25% of Big Four class6-7 years of public accounting and industry experience required (minimum of 4 years in M&A/Transaction advisory services of a Big 4 or other large firms)3 or more years of prior supervisory experienceBachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent requiredCPA licenseAbility to manage teams and own their work productHardworking, detail-oriented, and able to motivate engagement teamsProfessional and personable demeanorProven solid verbal and written communication skillsPassion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accountingStrong technical accounting knowledge of GAAPExperience and familiarity with technology industries preferredAbility to act and lead as the client contactProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skillsSome travel may be required (about 25%) Connor Group is committed to celebrating the value of diversity in a globally connected business world.
