JOB SUMMARY:
Manage and provide strategic marketing direction for the UPRV Trade segment for Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal's New Ventures. Collaborate across divisions and with external Travel Agency partners on the development of integrated business and marketing plans, as well as participating in workshops/planning meetings for implementation and performance measurement. Identify and generate business plans to grow attendance and OCF.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and communicate the marketing strategy for the UPRV Trade business segments. Manage UPRV Orlando, Hollywood & New Ventures trade stores, fostering relationships and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that UPRV plans, tactics and distribution platforms support the broader goals and objectives of Universal. Partner with UPRV leadership to provide strategic direction to Orlando and Hollywood teams regarding packaging and trade commerce capability requirements.
Partner with Travel Industry Sales on the development of package and ticket-only marketing plans to drive results through travel agency partners. Responsible for partnering with Segment Strategy, Finance, other Marketing and Sales teams and Travel Agency partners on the development & implementation of plans.
Responsible for the development & approvals of marketing assets supporting campaigns across all channels, in partnership with agencies and/or internal communications & creative teams. Manage Trade projects within Workfront project management system and partner with Project Management team on creative development.
Partner with UPRV Sr. Manager of Marketing and UPRV Finance to manage UPRV's annual budget and the budgeting process. Collaborate with UPRV Product, Revenue Management and Finance teams on business case development, performance analysis, weekly reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Lead the development and continuous improvement of Trade package product and related promotions to drive the business.
On-board and manage the relationship and creative process with an external Social Media agency to develop Trade social media strategies and campaigns.
Manage UPRV Marketing Representative providing direction, mentorship, motivation, coaching and career development.
Lead competitive benchmarking from a distribution channel perspective. Seek out and maintain awareness of relevant market conditions, marketing trends, and technology.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree: Marketing, Business, Finance or other related discipline.
MBA or Masters degree in a similar discipline is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of marketing experience within one of the following industries is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience: e.g. Travel, Theme Parks, Tour Operators, Online Travel Agencies, Airlines, Hotels and/or Car Rental.
