The Manager of Master Data Management will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring data quality, promoting data governance and making and participating in the management of our master data. This position will manage critical master data efforts as we transform from legacy JDE and EBS to Oracle Fusion.

This is a Salary Exempt Position

MDM adoption and implementation.

Develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy for master data management and aligned with organizational goals; stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the master data roadmap. Establish and enforce data management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security; collaborate with functional teams to implement best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and timely master data.

Facilitates cross-functional alignment.

Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities for master data; establish strong relationships with internal teams to ensure the successful adoption of master data management best practices, data governance, process improvements, data policies and procedures. Act as a key liaison for stakeholders related to master data needs to coordinate the analysis, cleansing, extraction and transformation of enterprise master data. Recommends positive changes to the technical landscape and ways of working as a means to enhance productivity and better alignment with business.

Maintains and administers MDM functionality.

Partner with technology and business teams to develop and implement robust and measurable audit process of master data setup and updates ensuring that data is integrated accurately and effectively across the enterprise landscape. Establish and track measurable metrics to identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement and systematics controls. Demonstrates a solid understanding of MDM processes and multiple MDM domains including Product, Location, Account, Customer, Vendor and others.

Participates as a member of the Team . Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives:

Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities:

Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone/video conference, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups. Must be able to work in various temperatures. Move about in a manufacturing environment and surrounding property. May travel via car or plane to various work locations.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

As required by facility.

Travel:

Approximately 10% travel, including travel to Simmons facilities, one to two offsite classes or conferences per year, and to Toronto Office. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.

Technical Experience:

3+ years' experience working with enterprise data, especially ERP, manufacturing, product, customer, and supplier.

Industry Experience:

Preference for food processing organization.

Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or 4 years related experience.
