Description
The Manager of Accounting Systems will oversee all training related to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for Collins Building Services, Inc.
This manager will design high-quality, tailored training that promotes best practices.
This role will report directly to the SVP of Finance and liaise daily with the accounting team, external consultants, Senior Management, Account Executives, Clients, IT, Human Resources, Operation managers, and field operators.
The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving new accounting systems such as NetSuite, procurement and expense platform, contract repositories, etc.
This manager will establish training plans and provide Subject Matter Expertise to new users across the organization.
The manager will bring team structure and motivation skills, proficient problem solver abilities, detail-oriented, effective communication skills, and excellent performance in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements Develop, deploy, and track onboarding and team training with modules, live training, and video content to ensure consistency across Collins Building Services.
Collaborate with the Office of The President (OTP) to ensure all content reflects current branding and messaging guidelines and is coordinated with other training efforts across the organization.
Work collaboratively with department managers to help them build accounting product knowledge, increase user adoption for team members to new accounting products.
Advise employees on how to fully apply their learning subscription and develop a learning plan strategy to accommodate all user's training needs with the goal of driving the adoption of new systems.
Collaborate on the company's new training program and provide all levels of the organization with visibility.
Understand NetSuite applications in all functional areas as they relate to end-user learning requirements and apply that knowledge to enhance business efficiencies.
Participate in the development of new offerings and improvement to processes, providing feedback and suggestions to management.
Coordinate with department manager/HR on new hire orientation for employees and ensure that they are set up for success in the new NetSuite environment.
Collaborate with Controller on business processes to ensure the proper controls are in place for a future audit.
Collaborate with Controller to support and revise standard operating procedures and publish best practices.
Partner with IT on coordinating efforts to support training through various systems and ensure the security/integrity of all platforms.
Researching, resolving, and implementing solutions to the complex accounting system.
Provide ad-hoc support for the general financial operations of the business and any other special projects.
Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Business, Information Systems or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience with a minimum 4+ years in cloud-based software or related professional experience.
NetSuite, Concur/Tipalti, banking portal experience required.
Flexibility to train in-person, digitally, and/or on-site at job site.
Prior training experience in a customer service-focused role.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, resourceful, motivated attitude.
Ability to listen and advise staff on pertinent solutions to drive the adoption of existing products and expansion into new technology.
Expert in Microsoft Office Suite systems, high comfort level leveraging reporting tools daily.
Excellent understanding of fundamental accounting principles (Ex.
Revenue Recognition - ASC 606).
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent facilitation, training, interpersonal/relationship-building skills, and the ability to liaise positively with all levels of management.
Strong analytical, organizational, excellent prioritization skills, and problem-solving skills.
Able to always use professionalism and discretion as it relates to highly confidential information.
