Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector located in Northridge, CA is currently seeking a Program Manager 2- Sustainment to support our growing business. As part of the Advanced Weapons Business Unit (AWBU), you'll spearhead capability enhancements to the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) franchise program.
The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.
Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception through startup, execution, and completion. Primary responsibilities include:
Cultivating customer relationships to develop further opportunities within the customer community.
Developing new business opportunities through strategic planning and proposal development.
Leading a cross-functional organization focused on sustainment and repairs.
Managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
Acting as primary customer contact for program activities.
Communicating progress to customers and senior leadership.
Participating in contract negotiation and change management.
Establishing program milestones and monitoring adherence to plans and schedules.
Identifying program problems and determining solutions.
Conducting risk & opportunity management practices.
Coordinating the preparation of proposals and capture plans.
Developing new business or expanding the product line.
Leading and directing cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
Measuring and reporting program performance.
Delivering presentations to stakeholders.
Managing contract changes and program requirements.
Managing suppliers to meet program objectives.
Ensuring adherence to internal processes and industry standards.
Developing and adhering to master plans and schedules.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts.
6 years of experience leading tasks on schedule and achieving requirements.
6 years of demonstrated success leading teams to achieve common goals.
Experience in sustainment, repairs, and integrated logistics support.
Proposal development experience.
Experience with Earned Value Management.
Must be on-site, working remotely is not available.
Must have the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in a science, engineering, or business program.
Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
PMP certification.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile methodologies.
Ability to define technical strategy for business capture.
Active Security Clearance.
Relocation assistance may be available.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in Northridge, CA. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position.

Salary Range: $151,900 - $227,900
