South Carolina Retirement: Yes State Insurance Programs: Yes Annual Leave: Yes Sick Leave: Yes Advertised Job Summary: The Manager of Programs and Evaluation will manage FoodShare SC's various Fresh Food Box (FFB) related programs: Richland County Hub and State-wide Hub Expansion/Technical Assistance, as well as coordinate evaluation actives across the organization. This position will lead the development of the FFB program infrastructure, execute the strategic plan, provide supervision and direction to program staff, manage complex business administration duties, and coordinate evaluation partners. The FoodShare program is a division of USC School of Medicine. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience in non-profit management, or public health; or equivalency. Experience with food security, anti-poverty, nutrition assistance programs is an asset, especially in rural settings. Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation for travel. Strong community relations/outreach skills with the ability to form effective working partnerships. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a leader/supervisor and a member of a multidisciplinary team. Experience with program management. Experience with food systems and knowledge of food justice and social justice issues. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to plan and execute established goals. Ability to interpret and apply local laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate well with people of all levels of educational backgrounds and of varying cultural backgrounds. Ability to supervise staff. Proficiency in major software applications including word processing and database software. Job Duty: Strategy & Vision: Grows and maintains the FoodShare Hub network, moving towards strong institutional partnerships and regionality. Provides leadership to Hub network partners, focusing on organizational capacity, regional cooperation and technical assistance. Develops strong relationships with partners, collaborating organizations, government agencies, funders and other stakeholders using a community development approach. Contributes to grant applications, advocacy and leadership committee.
