Program Manager 3
to join our Advanced Autonomy Team for Research and Advanced Design's Autonomy Directorate of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in
Redondo Beach, CA
.
The Program Manager is responsible for gathering business intelligence and turning that data into actionable items for the pursuit and execution.
They are responsible for assembling the pursuit team, leading them through the understanding of the goals of the opportunity, and the development of a solution that addresses the customer's needs in a compelling and differentiating way.
Directing all phases of the process starting with opportunity identification, the manager is responsible for customer engagement, establishment of the plan, and win strategy, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Support NCTA internal efforts for designing and building hardware and software Autonomy solutions for programs under Research and Advanced Design.
Track and report on NCTA metrics including overall cost, schedule, and technical performance
Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams
Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
Brief internal and external customers and leadership on progress of work assigned
Participate in monthly Directorate Reviews, monthly Financial Forecast reviews, and staffing reviews
Identify and address NCTA impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts
Create an inclusive environment that attracts, retains, and inspires diverse and engaged teams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years, or Master's and 7+ years of experience, and experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
Experience leading small teams in a dynamic work environment
Experience with development programs
Experience in agile processes and software
Experience in architecting VMS and/or MMS hardware
Experience in architecting VMS and/or MMS software
Experience in hardware/software integration
Financial experience in EVMS or similar cost and schedule management systems
Demonstrated understanding of program risk, opportunity and issue management process
Ability to obtain a SAP and TS / SCI Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and written communication skills, as well as project management planning and presentation skills.
Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Power Point, Word
Special Program Access
Active secret security clearance
Experience in working with subcontractors and customers at all levels
Salary Range:
$180,600 - $271,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
