Manager, Scientific Writing Operations

The Manager, Scientific Writing Operations supports and works closely with the Scientific Writing Operations Lead to support and assist with SW resource (capacity) management and development of the outsourcing strategy. In this exciting role, you will work with outsourcing vendors to facilitate contract development and implementation, while also onboarding/off-boarding activities while also supervising external consultants at times.
A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like: Screens and supervises external consultantsAssists with contractor/vendor selection, initiation, and implementation of collaborationsServes as point of contact with vendors for contracting and financial aspects of external engagementsIdentifies training needs, monitors adherence to document processes, and provides support for external personnelCollaborates with Procurement, Finance, and Business Operations to help manage contracting, budgeting and spending for Scientific WritingManages project timelines and resources and negotiates timelines across various drug development teamsLeads or participates in SW internal and cross-functional project team meetingsContributes to process initiatives and manages the subsequent creation or changes to SW project timelines and guidance documentsRemains aligned with internal trainingThis Role May Be For You If You Have:Good knowledge of drug development and regulatory submission (eCTD) guidelines and processesPrevious experience working in a cross-functional drug development team preferredAbility to manage multiple projectsExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsProficient knowledge of MS WORD & EXCEL, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, project management systems, and electronic document management systemsThis role requires a BS/MS in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years relevant operations and project management experience. PMP certification is a plus. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred. Previous experience in supervising is a plus.

Salary Range (annually) $124,200.00 - $202,800.00
