WHAT WE'LL NEED The Category Manager, Indirect - Technology will be a key member of the Supply Chain Indirect team, that will mainly focus on procurement of technology for Restaurant and Corporate level systems. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the vendor process, evaluating technology innovation opportunities and participating in leader and program steerco meetings as needed, for cost optimization, strategic vendor relationship enhancement, service metrics, performance development and planning/process optimization. Key assigned areas of Technology Selections and Negotiations would include: Facilitate project chartering and capturing current and future state business and technical requirements Identify best in class vendors that align with business needs and getting MNDAs in place in order to facilitate RFP definition and vendor response process Collaborate directly with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement IT sourcing strategies to ensure high-quality and cost-effective technology solutions that align with financial budgets and company thematic goals Execute vendor onsite presentations/demos and team debriefs, in addition to coordinating deep-dive Q&A calls/demos Responsible for negotiating pricing and business terms, in addition to facilitating the decision process and prep for Senior Leadership Team presentations Facilitate and/or advise with legal team and business stakeholders during contract negotiations Create and maintain IT Category Strategies, Vendor Relationship Management, and Risk Assessments that optimize the IT value proposition Proactively execute on projects including category planning, forecasting, internal and external benchmarking analysis, and risk mitigation strategies Responsible for advanced quantitative analysis that identify financial implications of key business decisions and performance of Wingstop Technology category Conduct market research, analysis, and benchmarking for the Wingstop Technology with best-in-class firms such as Gartner and present to relevant internal stakeholders Maintain vendor agreements and place necessary category purchase orders and resolve issues that may arise Support and manage on-going vendor management strategy, including business reviews, scorecard development, and market condition updates in partnership with internal team leaders to drive marketplace growth Oversee the implementation and coordination of vendor transitions with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and technology WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience required. 5+ years' experience in strategic sourcing, preferably within the QSR, Hospitality, or Retail industry. Proven track record of managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts and vendor management. Must possess strong financial analysis skills and are responsible for industry assessments, strategic sourcing, contract creations and cost models. Additional Experience beneficial in one or more areas as follows: Selecting/negotiating for: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) Learning Management System (LMS) Enterprise Service Management (ESM, aka ITSM) Warehouse Management System (WMS) Customer Data Platform (CDP) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Content Management System (CMS) vCISO & MDF Platform Geographic Information System (GIS), and services (including professional services, support, outsourcing, value-added resellers, hardware installation - NRO & retrofit, and hardware maintenance/break-fix) Working knowledge of Oracle for Indirect Procurement and Hardware/Software systems (NCR, Aloha) for use in foodservice and restaurant industry Familiarity w/software, platform, and infrastructure as a service (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) across tools like Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Oracle Cloud, and Salesforce Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies (agile, scrum, waterfall) to understand the tech side of business effectively in terms of how work is structured, planned, budgeted, performed, tracked Hardware warranty maintenance, Software- on-prem and cloud experience in how module licenses are activated, and capacity is utilized, familiar with onshore/offshore supplier models Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate at a high level across multiple functions Strategic ability to develop distinctive strategies and translate broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to analyze complex data and make appropriate business judgments based on sound reasoning, problem solving, and financial analysis Leading change management to make a positive impact on the Wingstop Technology team and organization wide by demonstrating subject matter expertise and influencing others' actions and results, with or without formal authority. Role models strong collaboration by creating cross-functional project teams and building relationships across the organization.
