We are looking for a highly-skilled, passionate, and proactive Manager of Systems Administration Team with exceptional communication skills, strong technical background in systems administration, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Manager of the Systems Administration Team will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Linux and Windows systems administration team. This includes managing a team of approximately 10-12 system administrators, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring the timely completion of tickets and projects. Additionally, the System Administrators Team will be responsible for interfacing with other departments to set priorities and expectations. Success in this role will require exceptional communication and collaboration skills, as well as a strong technical background in systems administration. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure. Responsibilities Manage a team of approximately 10-12 Linux and Windows system admins, providing technical guidance and support as needed. Ensure the timely completion of tickets and projects, and manage team workload accordingly. Collaborate with other departments to set priorities and expectations, and ensure alignment with company goals. Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for the systems administration team. Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades and patches. Provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Analysts, QA, and other team members to achieve elegant solutions which satisfy business needs, goals, and objectives. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of processes, solutions, and tools. Diagnose and resolve issues with deployed systems using a variety of techniques, including direct engagement with support personnel and customers. Proactively assess and analyze existing systems to maximize quality and customer satisfaction and minimize maintenance costs and other operational issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience normally obtained with 6-8 years of related experience. A minimum of 5 years experience working within a payment or fintech environment Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux and Windows systems administration. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role. Experience with payments or financial technology is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
