Snowflake is seeking an accomplished Director of Platform Sales - Data Warehousing to lead and drive the sales strategy for our Data Warehousing workload. As a senior leader within the Platform Sales team, you will be responsible for aligning our go-to-market strategies with the business objectives for Data Warehousing, driving growth, and ensuring we are delivering value to our customers. This is a strategic role that works closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and the broader field organization, to ensure successful execution and customer adoption of Snowflake's Data Warehousing solutions.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO: Lead and mentor a team of Data Warehousing-focused sales specialists, ensuring that they are equipped to drive adoption and achieve revenue targets. Own the Data Warehousing go-to-market strategy, working closely with the Vice President of Global Platform Sales to align with Snowflake's broader platform objectives. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure sales strategies reflect the latest product capabilities and innovations. Work directly with customers to understand their Data Warehousing needs, communicating insights to inform Snowflake's product roadmap and ensuring alignment with customer requirements. Partner with the broader field organization to integrate Data Warehousing sales efforts with Snowflake's overall go-to-market plans. Design and implement tailored sales plays to capture market opportunities in Data Warehousing, helping customers optimize their use of Snowflake's platform. Provide executive-level insights to customers and partners, guiding strategic discussions that emphasize the value of Snowflake's Data Warehousing capabilities. Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement. ON DAY ONE, WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics) is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the data and analytics industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership role focusing on Data Warehousing or related fields. Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and other relevant segments in the data and analytics ecosystem, with proven expertise in driving successful sales initiatives within this domain. Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in highly competitive markets. People Leadership: A proven ability to lead, develop, and scale high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and customer focus. Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work across product, engineering, and field teams, ensuring that sales efforts are integrated and aligned with the overall business strategy. Stakeholder Management: Experience influencing product roadmaps through close collaboration with internal teams, based on market and customer insights. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior executives and key decision-makers at both technical and business levels. The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $211,000 - $315,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
