Manual Machinist

Summary:

An aviation MRO company in Opa Locka is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team.
This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating Milling Machines, Engine Lathes, Tool-Post Grinder, and Surface Grinder.
This role is also responsible for using various tools and measuring instruments required to perform precision Machining/Grinding operations.


Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate various Machining & Grinding equipment.

* Read and interpret blueprints and Manuals.

* Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.

* Ensure all work is performed IAW posted work scopes and safety implementations.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years working as a Manual Machinist
* Aviation/Aerospace industry experience (part 145 repair station experience preferred)
* Proper use and knowledge of Machine Shop tools and measuring equipment
* Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, have basic computer skills
* Available to work daily overtime and Saturdays as needed
