The Advanced Manufacturing technician participates in a 3-year training program in preparation for a career in manufacturing and repair of industrial equipment. Responsibilities / Tasks Learn manual and machine-based material processing techniques.Learn joining techniques, including thermal joining processes.Participate in basic technical training and learn assembly of subassemblies as well as complete machines, including basic of related hydraulics, pneumatic and electric components.Complete advanced technical training and learn troubleshooting, repair and testing of equipment.Attend and successfully complete all required technical college courses.Successfully complete the required midterm and end of apprenticeship skills tests. Your Profile / Qualifications To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must: Be a currently enrolled high school student.Have an understanding off and be interested in technical and functional relationshipsHave excellent hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.Be physically capable of working in a demanding environment. Lift weights of up to 50 pounds.
