The Role:Moderna is seeking a highly driven individual for a Manufacturing Associate I position within Technical Development Pilot Scale (PSO) Operations, at the Moderna manufacturing site in Norwood, MA. This position is a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm shift position. The individual hired into this role will independently run DNA, RNA, and/or LNP, LMX, DP unit operations following standard operating procedures. This individual is expected to be detail oriented and practice good laboratory practices, with a goal of manufacturing high quality DNA, mRNA and/or LNP, LMX, DP. In addition to manufacturing, the Manufacturing Associate I will be responsible for communicating issues experienced while processing. They are also expected to take the initiative to learn the science behind the process that is being run, to fundamentally understand the process steps. Also, they will track raw materials used in the process along with other good laboratory practices of accuracy and precision.The Manufacturing Associate I have a team mentality and respects the common work areas. They help maintain the cleanliness, and 5S initiatives are put into place in the lab in common and unit assigned areas. Commitment and active participation in the safety culture is required.In addition to a focus on manufacturing and maintaining the lab, it is strongly desired that the individual actively participates in the department's continuous improvement and optimization initiatives.
