Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Dispatcher to plan, schedule, and assign work to operators in assigned departments.
The ideal candidate will ensure the availability of tools, maintain workflow, and support the timely completion of manufacturing schedules.
This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret operation cards and dispatch systems to prioritize tasks.


Key Responsibilities: Schedule, plan, and assign work to operators in designated departments.
Arrange for the availability of tools and equipment, ensuring accurate job prioritization using CRT dispatch displays and expediter requests.
Interpret operation cards and determine job precedence to maintain efficient workflow.
Enter and maintain file data on work-in-progress (WIP) related to machine code changes.
Advise supervisors of workload imbalances and assign work based on operator capability.
Make general decisions about job sequencing and issue instructions to operators.
Collaborate with factory supervision to resolve issues with problem jobs or machines, and provide updates on workload status.
Maintain control of WIP and tooling to prevent work delays and loss of tools or cutters.
Monitor work habits to ensure safety and prevent injury to others.
Occasionally operate an electric truck and continuously use CRT systems.
Direct crib personnel to support job tasks on the shop floor.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of shop arithmetic, and ability to read drawings, specifications, and layouts.
Familiarity with manufacturing procedures and machine shop practices.
Knowledge of of production control and ERP systems.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and move average-weight materials and tools.
Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring constant alertness and activity.
Experience with dispatch systems and machine code changes is a plus.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with operators, supervisors, and other personnel.
$19.00/hr
