What You Need for this Position Experience working in Machining environment
Experience working with CNC machines, milling, turning and grinding
Experience leading continuous/process improvement in machinery industry
Experience with CAD and/or CAM software
GD&T knowledge preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints, FAA regulations, OEM repair manuals
Working knowledge of aircraft components and repair materials (preferred but not required)
What You Will Be Doing Evaluate issues with repair processes, engine components, and approved technical data
Resolve and improve any process issues economically while still maintaining quality.
Work with Production Department Managers to establish and execute plans to reduce rework and improve the quality rating of repair processes.
Review current processes and repairs to improve efficiency and turn time of components.
Develop and/or revise work instructions to facilitate production.
Develop and/or revise tooling and fixturing to facilitate production.
Assist with specification and implementation of new materials, processes, or technologies.
Ensure process quality and testing requirements are being met using FAA approved technical data and/or industry standards.
Communicate at a high level regarding repair processes, problem solving, quality improvement, process development. Assist in training of other employees per company or industry standards.
