Job Description

Job Description Description: Bollinger Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Final Assembly to assist with low to medium scale industrial production by using torque tools and assisting with final assembly and fine tooling. This is an in-person role at the company's Livonia/Oak Park, MI headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Receive, read, and understand complex design specifications.
· Experience with low to medium scale production.
· Ability to handle intense deadlines and quick changes to plans.
· During line setup configure torque controllers with baseline programming (customer specific requirements, torque specification).
· Assist in creating torque specific documentation: Repair procedures, static torque trend charts, etc.
· Responsible for power tools, hand tooling, ergo arms, fixtures and miscellaneous production and maintenance equipment.
· Familiarity with Atlas Copco, Cleco, SCS, and Sturtevant Richmont.
· Assist in maintaining Master Torque Matrix prior to SORP
· Strong automotive manufacturing skills and ability to lead cross functional teams.
· Assist in troubleshooting process and machine issues.
· Participates in the advanced development of manufacturing processes.
· Lead process to share and deploy best practices for manufacturing and assembly.
· Develop/ maintain standard manufacturing / quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, Bill of Process, Functional Safety, etc.) for core processes.
Requirements:

Education, Skills and Knowledge

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology.
· 2-5 years automotive manufacturing required.
· Experience with handhold/festooned torque tools, lift assists, sub-assembly assembly equipment, and assembly aids required.
· Strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products; excel, word, outlook, ect.
· Working knowledge of 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D products (3DX, Team Center, CATIA, SolidWorks)
· Understanding of MODAPTs, Line Balance, and Material Display.
· Develop and maintain Poka-Yoke devices.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
· Excellent communication skills and experience working with multiple teams.
· Possess strong continuous improvement mindset and drive for results.
