Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) of Andover, MN is looking to hire a full-time Manufacturing Engineer (Machining/Programming).
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.
It is also a responsibility to troubleshoot problems that arise during production activities by utilizing analytical skills to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
The position will be expected to evaluate and adjust processes by analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
The responsibility of tooling and CAD/CAM programming for all CNC machines ensuring the precision and adherence to design specifications will also be a main task for this role.

Typical Duties of a Manufacturing Engineer Create, evaluate, implement and monitor manufacturing plans/processes and operating systems for the machining of DSTI's products with a primary goal to support the machining department.
Create tooling list, set-up sheets, FAI sheets, processing guidelines, and jig or fixture drawings or details.
Ensure that the instructions are simple to understand and consistent with best practices.
Minimize the need for machinists to manually program at machine centers by providing support through GibbsCAM or other offline programming methods.
Improve capabilities around CNC machining software and applications.
Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products and/or reduce costs using knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment.
Perform ongoing process monitoring to ensure comprehensive root cause analysis is conducted and that all goals and objectives are achieved consistently.
Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical operating personnel.
Be fully aware of the latest technological advances in machining, machine tools and programming software.
Proactively engage and collaborate with machinists to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
Facilitate RTP (release to production) meetings with appropriate staff to ensure best practices are followed at time of manufacture.
Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in the machining department to ensure that documentation, programs, and work in progress are accurately updated and addressed.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisor to understand technical concerns identified in daily job reports.
Qualifications for a Manufacturing Manager 5-7+ years of broad manufacturing experience required, ideally in a complex CNC machining environment.Proficiency in the use of GibbsCAM CAD/CAM software with extensive experience creating CNC programs.
Proficient with SolidWorks.
Similar software experience may be substituted.
Intermediate skills in MS Office Products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems such as Epicor, Oracle, or SAP to accurately log and capture job activity.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Proven ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to collaborate within a team as well as work independently.
Flexible Work ScheduleThe typical schedule would be Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility.
Due to the hands-on nature of manufacturing routine remote work is not an option in this role.
