In this role, your mission and responsibilities will be to:
This management position is directly responsible for the oversight, training, planning, and execution of a group of Mechanical Engineers. The scope of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager function includes responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing and processing of fabrications, weldments, painted levels, and assemblies. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating cost reduction initiatives, manufacturability reviews, corrective action closure, development and specification of fixtures and tools necessary to build the product, assessing the safety of the processes and methods used to ensure a safe work environment, developing the project plan for manufacturing implementation, and leading the implementation of new products and cost reduction initiatives. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying new technology to maintain competitive advantage (robotics, new machinery, floor plan, etc.).
Provide strong leadership and project management skills to successfully implement customer-focused process/product improvements.
Provide training to new and existing employees in best practices for lean manufacturing, and weld fabrication design. Problem-solving, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Utilize proven lean manufacturing-based analytical and troubleshooting / problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for quality improvement, lead-time reduction, and cost reduction.
Oversee Product Development Process for all new and existing programs.
Develop safe processes and monitor existing processes to ensure the safety of our production associates.
Ensure that mistake-proofing are built into all processes and work on any customer or quality issues to ensure quality problems are solved and not repeated.
Evaluate existing tools and processes and recommend improvements that enhance both operator performance and ergonomics/safety of the overall operation.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of related industry experience in manufacturing, strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing personnel.
Experience with project management, process improvement, lean manufacturing, and problem-solving.
