Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Facilitator with experience working in shop environments.
In this role, you will support the manufacturing team by coordinating and expediting the transport of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities Moves or transports materials and fixtures from one department to another according to job order priorities and material availability.
Examines materials to be delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
Supports inventory control and in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
Helps manage accurate inventory levels through audits, cycle counts, and development of procedures Inspects material to ASME Code and maintains material markings and documentation for Code jobs during fabrication Show a willingness to learn and gain new skills on the job Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED, experience in a machine shop environment preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Able to take instruction and complete tasks in a timely manner Excellent organization and attention to detail Proven team player with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues Ability to work with highly collaborative team Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge Prioritizes and ensures safety of oneself and others Forklift certification preferred Experience with Inventory software, Manufacturing software, and Order processing systems preferred Physical Conditions Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts and the like Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Communicating with others to exchange information Operating motor vehicles, heavy equipment or machinery Environmental Conditions General office environment Noisy environments Odors or fumes from chemicals or chemical reactions Accessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned High-concentration, demanding and fast-paced Safety and PPE Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs Manipulating, cleaning and disposal of hazardous materials Reporting issues with equipment or unsafe conditions Wearing proper PPE, to include face mask, face shields, gloves, safety shoes Certification Capable of obtaining forklift and boom lift certification Additional Requirements Occasionally requires overtime Occasionally requires working weekends Occasionally requires schedule flexibility Occasionally requires non-standard work-week hours Occasionally requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines The hourly range for this position is $27-$30 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters.
