Location/Division Specific Information Lenexa Kansas
The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufactures and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories
How will you make an impact? As a Manufacturing Operator you will be responsible for carrying out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction Documents and blueprints or drawings as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.

Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP's, DHR's, etc.) to the Area Supervisor. Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Refer to job specific job Safety Analysis. Perform all work activities in a safe manner. Maintain a safe and clutter free work area. Clean up all spills immediately. Listen to, follow and relay written and verbal instructions in English. Report property damage and /or safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management immediately. Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance. Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Lead. Continuously monitor product for defects. Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments. Maintain a clean and organized work area. This includes all assigned equipment. Accurately dispense required additives to media and properly perform technique of getting pH balance as needed. Read, understand, and complete required documentation. All paperwork shall be accurately and neatly completed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Set up and adjust machine to run a variety of sizes and types using tools to adjust machine. Help to maintain quality assurance on your position at all times. Help improve the production process by actively engaging in making suggestions for improvement. How will you get here? Education Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience 0- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment; aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to push/pull up to 600lb kettles, stand for long periods of time (around 10 hours a day) Communicate well, both verbally and written in English, and be comfortable performing basic math What We Offer Competitive Salary: Hourly pay rate based on experience Annual performance-based bonus Annual merit performance-based increase Excellent Benefits!
