A Snapshot of Your DayYou will be using different tools such as files, ultrasonic machines, and sandpaper, as well as patching cores using an alumina-based material according to work instructions.
How You'll Make an ImpactOperating the mercury system to clock hours and pull up work instructions meeting daily targets provided by team leads.Understanding how to operate downdraft booths to turn on lights and dust collection.Inspecting parts and accurately using magnification tools to check for defects and to verify completion of work.Using diamond bit tools and sandpapers to sand down die lines on the main body of the core and pneumatic air tools to remove tie bars on core.Replenishing stations with the required items.Using hand tools, including wrenches and Allen wrenches.What You BringHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Knowledge of or interest in industrial machinery and ability to perform basic math functions using the metric system.Ability to read engineering instructions and mechanical aptitude.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.About the TeamGas Services: Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. We provide zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines, and generators. We also provide decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
