Purpose of Role:

The Market Data Analyst is responsible for understanding Marex, its business, and its requirement for market data. This includes sourcing data, ensuring contractual compliance, and making the best use of relationships with suppliers and exchanges. The role closely monitors and reports usage and cost to the business and seeks opportunities for cost effective solutions.

The Market Data department works collaboratively with all business units and IT to ensure Marex sources the right data, maintain controls and permissions around distribution and apportions costs. The department also manages and maintains close relationships with exchanges and other suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Work with various Marex business units to understand their requirements and use of market data.

Understand and document the use of market data within the organization.

Make use of best practice guidelines for access to market data providers.

Work with stakeholders to maximize the value of Marex data – and its sale to providers.

Educate stakeholders and all employees on the correct use of market data.

Ensure compliance across Front to Back system landscape in the use of Market data.

Track contracts with Market Data vendors and exchanges to deliver best value to Marex group.

Provide internal cost tracking and allocation to ensure fair payment of costs per business area.

Remain up to date with new trends and best practice to keep Marex up to date with industry direction and best practices.

Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

In depth knowledge of Market Data providers such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, CME, LSE, ICE, etc.

Experience with Market Data vendor contracts and negotiation with data suppliers.

A solid understanding of licensing rights to distribute and redistribute market data, together with market data policies for Non-Display and Derived data.

Experience with Market Data inventory software such as MDSL, FITS, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
