This is the roleResponsible for driving the growth initiatives identified within the strategic marketing plan specifically related to monogastric gut health applications in swine and poultry. Contributes to the development and execution of a strong pipeline of growth initiatives for the assigned market segment plans. The role of the market development manager is to develop, adjust and tailor activation plans, develop new customers, applications, or product development opportunities and take ownership of executing offers to fulfill customer needs within the assigned segments.
The role leads the cross-functional market activation efforts and ensures alignment between functions in an effort to maximize effective positioning of Eastman's additive solutions in the Animal Nutrition industry.
Typical tasks and responsibilities are:Drives market assessment by collecting market, competition, application and technology insights and defines market gaps and growth opportunities.Responsible for developing a pipeline of customer and prospect opportunities for the market segment plan together with sales and technical service.Defines and drives the go to market activation of the market segment plan(s). Ensures the relevant marketing mix is defined and all functions are prepared to position relevant offers.Develop and prioritize strategic opportunities.Responsible for defining offers that match unmet needs with current and future Eastman product lines.As part of the market activation plan owns the definition and implementation of marketing campaigns, the comprehensive briefing of the communications team on planned campaigns and their successful execution.Uses discovery outcomes to prioritize the underserved differentiated growth opportunities through offer development or new product/application development projects.Joint Responsibility with sales leader for opportunity/leads management for all growth opportunities for the assigned segment(s).Working with sales on developing customer relationships and partnerships to execute growth opportunities, whether that be positioning of existing offers at customers, or new product/application development opportunities.Deliver, capture, and maintain value.For all growth or new product and application development projects drives the full marketing process from opportunity assessment, validation, go-to-market, and launch effectiveness.Drives stakeholder buy in for each of the stages of the full marketing process.Responsible for developing value propositions for identified growth opportunities at a customer or segment level and working with customer partners to demonstrate and document the customer value.Responsible for value pricing of offers for the market segment(s).Training front line sales and application development on the value proposition, including distribution channels.This is what you bringEducation & Experience
• Education in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or as Veterinarian required.
• MBA, Marketing degree OR proven marketing career experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years B2B experience in the Animal Nutrition Industry (ideally additives).
• Experience in executing marketing strategies or plans.
• Proven track record in driving results without direct authority.
• Strong marketing capabilities and practical knowledge of a range of marketing excellence tools.
• Experience in quantified value proposition development and value pricing.
