As the Market Development Manager (MDM), your primary responsibilities will include supporting division and geographic market development planning, guiding and directing BD process execution, supporting the build of assigned market pipeline, translating market development plans into direction for the corporate communications program, and market research and analysis activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating to build client and project capture planning efforts, conveying client and project intelligence to proposal specialists to inform tailored proposal and sales material development, and providing direction to marketing specialists for event and association coordination.
The MDM is responsible to ensure client, opportunity, and leading activity data is captured in the CRM system. Furthermore, MDMs are expected to mentor and guide MD analysts to ensure succession and scale capacity within the Market Development Group. Volume of direct client contact in association with operating division leaders will vary depending on background and experience.
For this opportunity we are seeking a qualified professional who resides within a regular commuting distance of our Seattle office location and who has the ability to travel regionally as required or needed based on assigned responsibilities. TKDA provides employees with flexible hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) work arrangements.
\n Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, architecture, or related field. Minimum of five years of experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industry in a marketing or business development role.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to lead and facilitate conversations.Ability to influence and guide engineering and architecture professionals through market planning and business development processes in a seller-doer go-to-market approach.Ability to formulate client and project capture strategies and engage diverse teams the execution of those strategies.Experience in market research and analysis.Understanding of communication strategy and technique to effectively convey division key message strategy to our Creative and Communications Services Group.Thorough understanding of the proposal development process and ability to translate capture strategies into guidance for client development and opportunity pursuit efforts.Experience using CRM systems to track client, opportunity and activity data.Ability to self-motivate, work independently, work collaboratively, and leverage leadership through influence to lead the market development activities of diverse, multi-disciplined teams. Proficiency MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advantageous QualificationsExperience in facilities design and engineering, rail, aviation, surface transportation, and/or water/wastewater markets.Experience executing communication strategy.
