Summary:
The Marketing, and Commercial Operation Director is to boost the brand's visibility and sales in target markets, ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives in close collaboration with the sales teams, head office (HQ) and distribution partners.
1. Trade Marketing Strategy and Execution, including DigitalALL Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to increase brand presence and drive sales in key markets.
• Oversee the design and execution of in-store activations, promotional campaigns, and POS materials.
• Collaborate with sales teams to create and refine trade programs that engage buyers and align with guidelines from HQ.
• Drive digital marketing initiatives tailored to the national off-premise channel, collaborating with retailers to enhance brand visibility and drive sales through online platforms.
• Develop and implement digital campaigns, e-commerce strategies, that align with retail partners' digital spaces.
• Analyze performance data to optimize digital efforts, ensuring strong brand presence and engagement in off-premise digital environments.
2. Market Support
• Participate in meetings with key buyers, distributors, ensuring the sales team has the appropriate support
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
• Provide tailored support and training for sales teams and buyers to increase product knowledge and enhance brand loyalty.
3. Sales and Commercial Strategy
• Partner with sales teams to support commercial goals, including pricing strategies, promotions, and target-setting.
• Develop tools, resources, and programs that empower the sales team to effectively represent and sell the brand portfolio.
• Track and analyze performance metrics, adjusting tactics to maximize commercial impact.
4. Brand Positioning
• Work closely with the HQ marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and market segments.
• Lead initiatives collaborating with HQ for product launches, packaging updates, and other key projects.
• Drive alignment between brand and commercial strategies to elevate brand equity in key markets.
5. Leadership and Collaboration
• Serve as a bridge between the HQ marketing, sales, and distributors, collaborating to achieve commercial objectives.
• Manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve the highest ROI.
• Oversee our trade marketing manager, providing guidance and mentorship.
6. Data-Driven Decision Making and ROI Analysis
• Use data and insights to track performance, evaluate ROI, and guide future marketing investments.
• Provide regular reports and presentations to leadership on market trends, competitor activities, and performance metrics.
7. Commercial Operations
• Oversee commercial operations, ensuring streamlined processes from product allocation to inventory management alongside HQ.
Profil
1.Experience in Trade Marketing and Sales
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in marketing, particularly in trade marketing and/or digital marketing.
Proven experience in managing in-store promotional campaigns and brand activation, ideally in sectors where trade marketing is essential, such as wine, spirits.
2. Expertise in digital marketing and e-commerce
Mastery of digital tools and e-commerce best practice, with the ability to adapt digital strategies to retailers' requirements.
Solid understanding of the mechanisms of online sales in the off-premise channel and the dynamics of brand promotion on digital platforms.
3. Skills in Data Analysis and ROI Orientation
Advanced data analysis skills, able to interpret key indicators to adjust marketing strategies.
Strong ROI tracking experience, with the ability to report regularly on campaign performance, market trends and competitive activity.
4. Commercial and strategic acumen
Good understanding of commercial strategies, particularly in the definition of prices, promotions and targets.
Ability to work closely with sales teams, contributing to the achievement of growth targets and providing resources and programmes to maximise the brand's presence in the market.
7. Communication and Relational Skills
Excellent communicator, able to negotiate with business partners, support sales teams and work with distributors to align initiatives.
