Wooster School seeks a Marketing and Communications Manager to begin July 1, 2024. This newly designed position will report to the Chief Communications Officer. The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the advancement efforts of Wooster School, including marketing and communications, admissions, and development. This position involves implementing marketing strategies and managing communication channels to effectively promote Wooster School and drive its success.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Chief Communications Officer to develop and implement marketing and communication plans Create engaging written content for various communication channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and media releases Support the promotion of school events, initiatives, and achievements through various communication channels Utilize graphic design and photography skills to enhance visual communication materials Cultivate and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment of messaging and goals Assist in planning and executing events on behalf of the marketing department Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related role Strong storytelling and communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) to effectively communicate Wooster School's vision and case for support Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management Solution-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, proactive approach, customer-service mindset, and ability to motivate Ability to maintain up-to-date best practices in digital communications/social media Creative, flexible, adaptable professional; sense of humor appreciated Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic to achieve goals and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Passion for Wooster School's mission and dedication to advancing its goals Enthusiasm for working in a school environment with students Experience in the education or non-profit sector is preferred Salary & Benefits: This is a full-time, 12 month, exempt position. Salaries are competitive with local independent schools. A competitive benefits package includes retirement, health insurance, tuition remission, short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
